Nature & History Trip to St John's & Lazarus Islands
A few kilometres south of Singapore lies a secret beach with clear waters and white sands on St John's Island, one of the country's many beautiful offshore islands.
St John's Island was once a quarantine centre for immigrants coming into Singapore who had cholera, beri-beri and leprosy. It was later used to house political prisoners and drug rehabilitators - you can still see the high barbed wire fences - and was also a refuge for Vietnamese boat people
Today, both St John's and its neighbour Lazarus Island are known as places for a day trip away from the city, so come & join us as we explore the nature and history of these beautiful pieces or paradise!
